100 Days Baby!

I seem to be starting a lot of postings like that lately. But, I can’t help it. The countdown is getting intense, and unfortunately for my loyal and adorably cute readers, a little bit boring, a’la I had a turkey sandwich for lunch. It was good.

I’ll try and keep these freaking-out, OHMYHOLYLORD I have 100 days until my wedding posts to a minimum, except when I get to extreme milestone days.

I feel like we are a little behind because we have not ordered a ketubah, nor have we even looked at wedding bands. I have a florist, but absolutely no floral plan. I guess I have to do all that when I go to Florida in March. Between now and then I’m planning on posting some of my thoughts for decorations and event-flow, with the hope that some of my brilliant readers will enlighten me with better and cheaper ideas.

On a more positive note, I got a phone call this week from my Bridal Gown shop, Lakewood Ranch Bridal. They have been excellent to me. When I first went there, they gave me all the time I needed to try on dresses, they explained the alterations schedule, the way the dresses should fit and answered all my stupid questions without looking at me like I had two heads. Well! They called me on Monday. To tell me…. MY DRESS HAS ARRIVED!!! I have a dress. Well, they have my dress. I wanted to leave work at that moment and go immediately to Florida to try it on. I frantically searched for super-cheap plane fares and settled on just going when I have it planned in March. I. Can’t. Wait.

Tomorrow we sit down with my parents for an update on the budget and a discussion about the procession and the general wedding “flow”. That will be on Day 99. Eeek.

Meanwhile, I joined a gym and I watched what I eat. There really is nothing like an upcoming wedding to get a woman into shape.

I promise to be back bright and early Monday with far more fascinating topics and things much less about myself. It’s been a hard week … but I was here to give you something, sometimes, something pathetic and un-spell-checked. But! I’m on the mend and I’ll be back soon with some more exciting material.
